For the rare and the few of you who are trying to get your top speed up or just more "go time" out of your 2.5L Altima. I gave Technosquare a call and talked to a cool guy by the name of Tadashi (ECM GURU) I asked him if he had a ecm for the 2.5 alty's and he said no, BUT if he gets 10 more phone calls for this ECM upgrade he will start mass producing them. Since i was the first to call about an ECM for the 2.5L Alty's he needs more people to follow suit. So please fellow 2.5L altima owners, unit and lets make this happen!!! He also said that he can re-flash the ECM now but you will have to send it to him and give him about a 2 week turn around or less if he has a compatible ECM in stock. technosquareinc.com

the spec is in production, i think they said it was a 10 hp / 15 torque gain plus 500 rpm, thats what they told me...
Offline
lol they were lying about the 10/15 hp/tq they only gained aobut 2whp in the end when they dynoed
Offline
We've seen about 10hp and 15ft-lb torque on the stock vehicle.
If you have modification done to your car, this number may not apply.
We set Rev 500rpm higher.

oh well i was just refering to what people on B15sentra posted up with their dyno numbers... arent they supposed to be custom tuned for the mods you have on your car?
Offline
they can be... but they also sell a generic ecm upgrade, like a high class qrpro
Offline
if you read over it they can do just about anything, but they gave these numbers as a way to dumb it down for us.... i guess

Hey guys, Im new to QR25DE.net but have been a member on Nissanclub.com for a little while. Do you know exactly what the reflash or upgrade does to the ECM? Id be weary of sending it to someone and hoping they actually did it some good. I know the biggest complaint on boosted Altimas is that the ECm does not hold up to boost. It may work out well for a while but eventually, it just gets overwhelmed and your car wont run right. I wish someone like Shawn Church actually cared enough to sit down with an Altima or a spec-v for that matter and figure out what is going on in the ECM and get us a real tunable upgrade.
Any members near Wilmington California? Thats where Church Automotive is and from all I hear, he is the supreme ECM guru.

I just realized the post date on this...sorry but did anything ever develop from this?

I suggest calling or emailing them to increase demand. This is the most recent email I received from them.
"We are trying to catching up with all new 6 cylinders now.
Since we don't get enough call for QR motor, there is no plan right now.
Also, according to our test, we couldn't gain much from ECU tuning on QR.
That is a part of reason we are not pushing it."
I suspect that if there is demand they will develop for it.
