They probably had to do it to bypass the external amps. Just showing wiring up to the plugs in the dash would be the way to do it without the Fosgate setup.

Anyone here ever have an issue with their Rockford Fosgate system? All my speakers besides the left rear and sub have gone out. Not sure but it may be the amp. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a specific wire I have to use to keep the subwoofer? Someone respond ASAP, as I am installing a head-unit as we speak, however it's a TV deck, and it will take some time to hide all the shit. LOL
*EDIT*
There is nothing you have to do to retain the factory tweeters and rear sub.

My factory harness has 3 plugs and my factory stereo has 3 plugs. However, my aftermarket wiring harness only has 2 plugs... why is this and does it matter that the other one won't be plugged in? What does it go to?
I have pics if it will help at all...

the sub wire should be a blue one...connect ALL the blue ones together (thats how it was for me and i believe almost all aftermarket decks)

I have the non Rocford system with the 7 speaker setup and the small 6" sub in the rear deck. That sub does have an amplifier and if you dont hook up wire B, which is blue with a white stripe, then that sub will not work and you wont have any bass. Hook that wire up to the amp turn on lead on the aftermarket deck.
To recap if you have all stock speakers, no aftermarket sub and you want all 7 of your speakers to work including the factory 6" rear deck sub then hook the amp turn on wire from the deck to wire B on the wiring harness otherwise your system will sound worse and you will be wondering why, as I was. heheh

Anyone got the wiring for the RF system?
I just want the deck to pass the signal to the RF amp, not bypass it entirely since that would require complete rewiring of the speakers.
Does the RF system have RCA lines running from the stock deck? that would make it much simplier to hookup to an aftermarket deck.

Matt

If you download the Factory Service Manual the RF system wiring diagram is in there. And no the RF system amp does not have rca inputs. I think i read somebody bought some RCAs, plugged them into the pre-outs on their deck and cut the RCA jacks off the other end and hooked the wires up to the RF amp and it worked but i dont remember exactly where i read that.

Im pretty sure its the same, but with a little extra wiring with the A/V controls and such. I know thats not really giving much info but Im not the smartest audio tech in the world.
