I'm wondering on many people are still running their V on the first engine, that's never been change or had precat failure? It seems that most of the time, we only hear about the bads stories and the QR just seem to be the worst POS engine of all time because of those. So, if yes you're still on your first and how much miles or kilometer on it you got.
For me, still on the first at 79 495 km or 49 684 miles.

'02 Spec -- Original engine, ~21k miles on stock header, now 38k miles... NO ISSUES! Race, abused, never has missed a beat
'05 SE-R -- Original engine, ~21k miles on stock header, flutterbies still not locktited, now 21,700 miles.. driven over 70 miles a day, 5 days a week
Hahah, funny thing about this thread... the other day I wanted to start a thread saying "My car is running just fine" just to prove how retarded it was to say that all '02s and Specs in general are bad cars. Truth is, the overwhelming majority of the owners of these cars are not on the forums, nor would they come on there and say that their car was just fine.

Mine was on it's 3rd engine and 2nd tranny. All of you who havn't/refuse to locitite your screws or get a catless header are seriously crazy. It's NOT WORTH THE RISK.

Hell if I know man. Every dealer I took it to says nothing is wrong, even though I bring up the fact that oil consumption has been a problem with these engines for 4 years now, but they always tell me "since Nissan recalled your engine, and replaced it before it was sold all of those recalls don't effect your engine, so we have to look at it like a new problem"
I just don't get it. It'd be different if I was out beating the shit out of it everyday, but I don't. So I don't see why I'm having these problems. I also noticed that the sound of the engine is different than my girlfriend's SE-R, both are stock, '06s, bought from the same dealer within a week, and both were recalled and replaced with new engines, hell they're both even the same color! But mine sounds totally different, like some kind of "puttering" sound.
