Touch-up pen for scratch?

Well today I got my first scratch on my beautiful sapphire blue car in the middle of the front passenger door.  Its about the size of my pinky and is clearly noticeable as it penetrated the clearcoat as well as the paint.  Anyways I was thinking of ordering a touch-up pen from the dealership, would this work to help cover up the scratch?

Re: Touch-up pen for scratch?

Well yes, it will help to COVER the scratch.  It won't however look perfect as you'll have no clear coat and the pen paint won't be 100% flush with the rest of the paint.

It will make it look less noticeable though.

Thanx eric, but on the website it says it has one tip for paint and the other tip for clearcoat...

Thanx Heidi that was very informative, don't know how I missed that thread, but i'm guessing the pen should work seeing as the scratch is pretty small and doesn't seem to have really penetrated the paint that bad.
