Question about VQ for Trav

Hey buddy, I have a friend with an 06' Altima SE, that has a question, and I figured I'd ask you...if anyone else knows the answer I'd appreciate it.

Do you or anyone know if the VQ comes wiht a stock o2 wideband sensor? He was told it doesn't, and I really have no clue (don't have a VQ...yet smiley-wink)

thanks guys!

Re: Question about VQ for Trav

Depends on the year.. I think 06 was the first year of wideband o2 for the VQ.

how sure are you? I just don't wanna give him incorrect info. I asked a few techs at work, but they don't know that shit, they really don't need to.

Re: Question about VQ for Trav

About 90% sure.. You can tell by looking at the connector.. If it's a wideband sensor, it'll have a rectangular black or grey plug, with a buckle style clip, instead of a push button clip.

Re: Question about VQ for Trav

Either that or call autozone have them look up the car by year and they will tell you if it was wideband or not, IIRC the widebands arent even availible at autozone (this is my part time job) so if they tell you its not availible its most likely wideband...
