i understand that when it comes to buying things, especialy turbo parts .. what your pay for is what you get .. and in no way am i looking to waste my money on a turbo like this but, how crappy could it be? i mean is it just very poor quality parts ? would there be alot of shaft play over a short period of time , oil leaks and shit like that ? they have good feedback and stuff, im just wondering if its so shitty why do people continue to buy this shit? .. just some food for thought and maybe help educate the people who think of buying a turbo like this

It's about how long the turbo will last...
Turbo's spin at very high rate of speed... Think 100k+ rpm and they get hot as hell. Exhaust gases in turbo application will run around 1200F...
If you turbo is made from shitty parts and shitty metal it will brake pretty soon...
There is a reason why good turbos cost around $800.... Hell my Turbonetics T3/T4 60trim is cost $800+ new...
Turbo is one of the parts of a turbo system you shouldn't cheap out on...
If you can't afford good turbo, don't turbo your car...

why did you buy a nissan? why didnt you buy a kia?
theres a reason a 35r costs 1400 dollars from garrett and 600 for a knock off on ebay
the quality of the parts, the quality of the craftmanship, honestly its not worth it

I got precision sc61 for 870 shipped

It's a gamble.. you may get one that lasts for years.. but, you may get one that explodes the first first time you put it into boost.. because of crappy metal, or improper balancing.
The biggest thing is that it's NOT a 57 trim.. it's more like a 46 trim T04E.. it's got a rather smallish compressor wheel.

One thing is for certain.. the 270 degree thrust washer that they use will not hold up to higher boost levels.. You'll wear it out and have a ton of shaft play..

Boost..Coming soon

Personally i went through 3 turbonetics turbos and finally said screw it and thought what the hell lets see how long a ebay cheapy the funny thing is its lasted longer than my turbonetics did lol. Also im rebuilding my entire car over the winter and was talking to a local shop around here (a guy i know) that deals with turbos and they told they can rebuild it for about 120$ plus parts so im just going to get a full rebuild kit from another company (turbonetics, garret, precision) and use there stuff. Figure i paid 150 for the turbo and then whatever else fr the rebuild kit and im still cheaper than buying the name brand. But to each their own you could get one that lasts awhile or one that lasts for 2 hours lol.

What happened to the Turbonetics turbos?
Did you blow the turbo seals?
Did you use oil restrictor with those turbos?

One blew the seals and the bearings and the other ones blew the bearings apart yes i used a restrictor. The one was water cooler also just never had any luck with them, I think since i did stuff to my cams and my engine ran a little hotter than normal it might have fried the last 1.
