New rims 17s or 16s?

So im gonna be getting new rims pretty soon. I dont really like the 17s i can feel every little bump, rock.. anything. I was thinking of getting 16s how do they look on a car? It would probably better for winter too. Because right now we have so much snow and i cant even drive. Where could i get some good looking 16s with a decent price.

or... should i stick with 17s??

Re: New rims 17s or 16s?

16s came on most (if not all) SE-Rs since 02. you can pick them up for decently cheap, you just have to look in the classified. most people, myself included, run 17s in summer, and steel 15s with winter tires for the winter.

Re: New rims 17s or 16s?

If you are going to go with 16" aftermarket wheels, get 16x7s. the stock SE-R rims are 16x6, and they will not improve your car's ride quality.

it doesnt matter what you drive here, right now. Even SUVs are sliding all over the road. I might get 15s for winter. Because this is not working.

Any rim smaller than 17 will have better ride quality, your tire will be taller allowing for more flex.

For winter I would suggest 15" steelies with Blizzaks.

It really depends on the suspension, the SpecV suspension is stiff in its stock form.

If you want cushier ride swap to 1.8s suspension.

Softer suspension will also improve handling in winter/snowy conditions.

Re: New rims 17s or 16s?

changing rim size doesn't affect tire size. you can get the same sidewall dimensions for any size tire.

Of course, but with smaller diameter rim, you can install taller tire.

Yea i made my mind... selling this broken turbo kit with all the parts that needs a rebuild and then getting 17s.
