with no flex pip you probaly have to have solid motor mounts or motor mount inserts or else u might crack your header or the midpipe

Looks like the Megan racing midpipe... I had it on my car for two years... It was fine... The only problem with it is the resonator, it's crap and it falls apart pretty fast...

you might want to def look for one with a flex pipe in it or else you can crack your hearder. one of the users on here had a nismo header and it broke around the colloector because of this same reason, there was no give in the pipe.

then theres always the problem of the flex part leaking lol

I had the midpipe without the flex section installed for two years without issues or my header cracking.
In fact the flex section can leak pretty easily...

Yes, I had MMI's before I got the midpipe installed...

No midpipe... N/A cars don't have downpipe.
I was fully bolted N/A, before I went to the dark side...

NO...
N/A ---> Cylinder Head --- Header --- Midpipe --- cat back exhaust
Turbo ---> Cylinder Head --- Turbo manifold --- Turbo --- Downpipe --- Midpipe --- cat back exhaust
Megan racing calls the midpipe a downpipe for some reason...

4-2-1 has nothing to do with naming the pipes...lol

Tyler

header(4-2) to midpipe(2-1) with the two pipes to one collector that connects to the cat back

It just refers to the pipe arrangement of the header...
4-1 -- four pipes go into one pipe
4-2-1 --- four pipes go into two pipes than to one pipe

i dont think leslies cracked due to no flex pipe. if she had one it might not have cracked but her main problem was the lack of any movent in the header joint and someone probably nailed a bump in it becuz shes got a few big dents in her midpipe.
Offline

Tyler

yeah..... i found a huge dent in the resonator of my catback

Michael

ya.... the greddy resonator is stupidly big.
