Does anyone know the cheapest and most cost efficient way to have a complete turbo kit?

You can get a used kit for 2-2.5K off somebody on the forums.

However I would strongly suggest, looking into the Treadstone kit. You can get the kit for 3k and it comes with brand new and quality parts. It's a complete kit so you won't have to buy more stuff to get it working...

You don't necessarily NEED a wideband with a turbo kit if you get it dyno tuned...

However its a good idea to have wideband and AFR gauge to keep an eye on your AFR's as well as boost gauge, oil pressure gauge, Turbo Timer, oil restrictor, boost controller, etc...

Those things add up very fast...

Re: Cheapest way to go turbo

I'm piecing one together right now. If your look for deals you can do it for under $2000 with okay parts. I'll be about 2600 with everything including wideband and boost guage. the only thing I'll need to set aside some cash for is tuning. The best places to save money are in the intercooler/piping and exhaust. If you Know someone who can weld you can fab it yourself and save some $$$(With a hook up you could get both done for under 500).  Just don't cheap out on the turbo/bov/ wastegate. If you look for deals those three parts can be had for under a grand. Used WRX injectors will run you between 50-75 shipped.

Just keep your eyes on the classified section and you'll be fine. The added bonuses to building it youself will be what you learn and having the system YOU want.
