First off I wanted to say ive been a lurker on the forum for quite some time and have found this site quite helpful. My car has been great up to the last few weeks where I woke up to go to work and it wouldn't start. I heard the dreaded "clicking" sound and assumed I had left my lights on. I was able to eventually start it but this "clicking" sound kept coming back. Had the dealer take a look at it and they said my battery was almost completely dead. They charged the battery but said the tests indicated no problem with the electrical wiring or the actual battery itself. Car starts normal for about 2 weeks then same issue only this time the car is completely dead and won't even start. Had it towed to the dealer and they said the battery wire was "loose" which makes no sense to me considering the car has less than 4000 miles on it. Now the car worked for about 1 week, boom same problem completely dead had to be towed to Nissan AGAIN...what do they say? Oh there's nothing wrong but you battery connection was loose again! Are you kidding me? Had my buddy who is a mechanic look at the battery connection when it came back from the dealer the first time and he said there was no way it was the connection. Anybody else have a similar issue? How many times can they keep telling me the fricken battery connection is loose.

you should also test your alternator if your battery is dying and make sure its charging at 14.1 volts

had the same problem with a friends 2.0L sentra. Though he was also running 10,000 watts RMS of subs in the trunk. We removed his system, after his love for the Boom kinda died out, and now is interested in the realm of performance. We had originally thought that his stock 35 series battery was the culprit. Which was quicly replaced with a 35 series Red Top Optima battery. His voltage issues lessened, but were still there. Either the car would randomly turn off, or his Tach would jump up and down, under load. It wasnt the battery. I tested his alt on the car, seemed to be running fine. 14.4V and 110 amps. Off the car however, 18 volts, 125 amps. Can we say Regulator Problem. Also, the fuseable link was an improper size. Far higher then it should be. It would have never blown and would have destroyed the battery. Also noted, the wiring to the starter was a tad small. Upgrade to 6 or 4 aga wire, and most if not all electrical gremlins will dissapear. Also noted, a big 3 upgrade is a wise investment, due the highly electrical nature of our vehicals.
