CAT-Back

Ok so this is a real newbie question here.  A cat-back exhaust comes with muffler and mid pipe and bolts directly to the header right?  I only ask because Im considering the stillen header with race pipe, and if I get a cat back It comes with its own mid pipe, and I will not be able to use it.  Am I correct here and im going to have 2 mid pipes?  Or am I better off getting just the header with no mid pipe and then the cat back with hook up to the new header easy? What would be my best option because I dont want any Cats.

A catback bolts onto the midpipe... it does not go all the way to the header.... at least thats how all the catbacks i've seen are...

Re: CAT-Back

OK so the stock mid pipe has the main cat on it right?  So when I buy my exhaust its going to bolt up to that?  Then the header bolts to the mid pipe then?

Yes the catback will bolt up to the stock midpipe with the cat on it... and the header bolts to the midpipe.

Stillen header with race pipe will replace stock exhaust manifold and stock midpipe... Eliminating both of your cats...

No, the mid-pipe bolts up to where your cat would be, while the cat back bolts behind that. The cat-back starts under your seat up untl the muffler.
