Changing Stock CD Light Color

This is the first post I've put up. I've got a 2006 and I like the stock head unit that the car came with, I just hate the orange color when it's lit up. Does anyone have any suggestions of how I would change the color of those lights? Any help would be appreciated

Re: Changing Stock CD Light Color

I was thinking the same thing, as soon as I get some money together I was going to buy a cheap identical radio off of eBay, take the faceplate off and see what happens, try different things. want to do this on a cheap radio, that way if I screw something up, no harm done.

Re: Changing Stock CD Light Color

well i figured out my own question. the circuit board comes out by a few little screws. the orange color is because of tiny orange LEDs. i found a shop in town that does stuff like that, and they don't charge much to change out LEDs

Re: Changing Stock CD Light Color

i believe the LEDs are white, the plastic plastic coverign it is orange, do a search, best way to change i've noticed it to get a Sharpie and colour it or replace the piece with coloured plastic or guy get LEDs and install them yourself with clear plastic
this might help  http://www.b15sentra.net/forums/showthr … ht=sharpie

Re: Changing Stock CD Light Color

with my stock 02 radio i took off the face plate, removed the circuitry and colored in the pieces with a red sharpie.
