So I ordered some paint from paintscratch.com. Gotta fix some rust on the rear fender, fix the chips in my hood, and repaint my nasty looking front bumper. My dad will be spraying it for me around xmas time as he has the equipment and a little experience. Only thing is he has never painted a plastic bumper before. According to paintscratch.com they say I need an adhesion promoter and a rubberized primer as well under the basecoat and clear. What do the experts have to say about this? What is also the best way to prep the bumper (the plastic is not damaged, but the paint is pretty rough looking)? Thanks for the help!

I've painted plastic lips, so I'll give this a try with what I did...
I sanded the plastic with like 800 grit paper
Adhesion promoter
Primer
wet sanded primer smooth
color coat
clear coat.
I guess that's like what they told you... except I didn't use a rubberized primer.
