Need help installing . . .

I was hoping someone knows how to install these things or can give me a tip on how to do it.

If someone can actually physically help me put these things in then that would f$%* awesome . . . lunch will be on me =]

1. TWM Short Shifter adapter

I have no idea where it goes in the engine bay =/

2. Autometer Oil Temp guage

I do not know where it needs to be tapped in...or how to do it.

Re: Need help installing . . .

the short sifter takes literally 2 minutes to install....on the top of the transmission in the engine bay, you can see where the shift linkage connects to the top of the tranny. you just pull out the pin, take off the linkage, slide the ss piece on top of it, hook up the linkage, and put the pin back in and you're done. if u can't install that then you got some major problems and you should do some major research before you go buying mods.....

Re: Need help installing . . .

TWM adapter installs on top of the transmission, to the driver's side of the intake manifold and down. You'll see the shifter linkage bushing sitting on the shifter plate thing there. Pop the shifter linkage off, put the adapter on, and put the linkage back on the adapter.

For the oil temperature gauge you'll either need to get an oil filter sandwich adapter, OR tap the oil pan below the oil level and install a fitting. Filter sandwich is the easiest method. Unfortunately the Nissport adapter can't hold a temp gauge. The adapter goes between the engine and the oil filter, and there are fittings on it for you to screw sending units into.

I thought that the filter sandwich and the nissport adapter where only for the oil pressure . . . do you think i can hook up oil temp and oil pressure to the sandwich at the same time?

The Nissport adapter and the sandwich adapter can both do oil pressure, and oil feed for a turbo. Oil temp has to be either the sandwich or through a tapped oil pan though, because the Nissport adapter I believe is too small.

I've never seen a sandwich adapter myself. I believe they have at least two fittings though. So as long as it has enough fittings you can run as much as you want off it.

Awesome, thanks for the help

Do you know if oil pressure can be mounted there as well? meaning both at the same time?

I see that your car is boosted so you are prob using the Nissport adapter for the turbo oil line and the oil pressure...

I am curious where you are running your oil line for turbo also.

Yup. I use Nissport adapter for my turbo oil feed and my oil pressure sender.
