Question about steelies

So im sure every idiot like me who doesnt read the site asks this, but my question is, i bought some 15 inch steelies off a sentra for my 02 spec v. I do not have brembos and wanted to get some winter tires on. Now i am stupid and shouldve checked if they fit before hand, but the shop i took it to get installed showed me that they rub against brake calipers. Please advise what im doing wrong and guide me towards the right direction.

Re: Question about steelies

15" steelies from a gxe/xe will have no problem fitting on a ser/spec non brembo. i was running gxe 15 alloys on mine and have steelies as a full size spare, no problems here.

Re: Question about steelies

you could just add a spacer to help with the clearance issues. probably a 3-5mm is all you need

Re: Question about steelies

ill try to see if i can get a spacer, its just that they rub not where the spokes would be on alloy wheels, but they rub on the tops. basically the rim literally does not fit =/

Re: Question about steelies

I don't know how that is. Plenty of people are running 15" Sentra steelies over non-Brembo Spec V brakes....

2003 Molten Spec V
Intake, header, custom WS2 catback, TBB, BSR (chain cut).
Hawk HPS pads, Powerslot rotors, Goodridge SS lines, ATE Super Blue fluid. Silver Nismos w/BFG KDWs. (On steelies w/Winterforce for the winter)
Koni shocks, Prokit springs. Stock FSB/FSTB, Nismo RSB & LTB. Energy Suspension MMI. Custom SS.
JVC head unit, Pioneer amp/speakers.

Not fast enough yet...
