flapper exhaust

on the volkswagon R32 the exhaust has a quiet and a loud mode, because it has the flapper on the exhaust.  is there a way to do it on the spec v like that.  like can i buy a new exhaust with a flapper on it or do they not make any for the spec v.  or can i just put a flapper on my exhaust?

Re: flapper exhaust

they dont currently make any specifically for the spec v but im sure with a lil modding you could do it.  Not completely sure though.

Re: flapper exhaust

electric cutouts, e-dumps, exhaust flaps.  all the same thing.  there are quite a few placers that have these where you flip a switch and depending on your setup means you dump all the exhaust out after the header or just tone it down in the muffler section.

Re: flapper exhaust

Ok, so loud mode for slow driving and nonresponsive power of either Tq or HP, or Quiet mode where you can haul ass.  Hrm, tough decision.

Quiet you, Im pretty.

exactly.  like mentioned before, it will only really benefit you if you're boosted.
