I'm in a bit of a dilemma:
Winter is just around the corner, meaning no more long sunny days, no more hand car washes/waxes etc
Im one of those that likes to keep my car looking good and protected however since winter is coming
that means not enough daylight to be able to wash + wax in time
Basically I have 2 options:
1) Go through touchless car washes when neeeded. I've found one that applies foaming wax as well as
clearcoat sealant, however this is about $12. Adding that up over the winter months, is quite a bit
just to keep my car clean. I've also read that touchless car washes use soap that is harsh on the paint?
2) Buy a couple products off of eshine.ca. Specifically the "Optimum no rinse & shine" as well as
the optimum spray wax. Both look like good products, and have been recommended to me
numerous times. However there are 2 factors stopping me from going with this decision:
a) Not having a covered area to work
b) Hand washing/drying WILL bring swirl marks. I dont want to add to what swirls I already have
So what would you do? Go with harsh soap, or swirls?

neither, there is enough time on the weekends to do both.

^Neither? So you'd leave your car dirty?
Time isnt really an issue, its more of which is the lesser of two evils?
Swirls or harsh soap

If you wash your car gently and shami it, you're not going to get swirls.

Get a good acrylic sealant to last you over the winter. Apply 2-3 coats (diminishing returns after that) before it gets too cold. Klasse is FTW in my book.

So what do you guys do for washes when winter hits?
Hand wash or touchless?
Or do you just spray the car to get all the salt off and leave it dirty till spring?

I spray it off every chance I get. In the "do it yourself" bays.

I have the Sonus stuff! When my engine was out earlier this year I put this stuff on everything in the engine bay since those areas cannot usually be reached!
