yes i did it and i due feal like 3rd gear pulls better frome the air duct as for the hydrolockinh im running the injen hydroshield it prevents water getting in ur intake with no lose off porformance

i personally do not suggest this. you will see extremely minor gains. youll have to cut your bumper up. its basically a hole in the bumper. water, snow, dirt rocks all sucked in. if you really must maybe in the back use like a dryer duct check valve. where you can lock it to prevent air in the rain. but then again we are going rice here.

Miguel, how long have you had that duct, and have you had any problems such as the replacement of your filter, hydrosheild, ETC., I DON'T MEAN TO BE SUCH A NAG ABOUT THIS ,BUT THAT AIR DUCT LOOKS SO FUCKIN HOT, NOT TO MENTION THE POSSIBLE BENEFITS!!!!

its been about 8months now i havent had any problems and ive washed my filter twice and gone though a full rain storn last year no problems yet it really looks bad ass in person

understand the physics of hydro lock. you filter might get wet and it wil get dirtier thast about it.

i doubt this will cause hydrolocking. i had no foglights on my car and my cai sat right behind the opening and i had it like that for months driving everyday. I never had a problem, the only thing i ever had to do was clean the filter

You'll be fine with it. Filter needs to be COMPLETELY submerged for hydrolock.
Just make sure you clean the filter.

the air duct is about 30 dollars shipped on ebay and you can do it yourself, seriously its not that hard just measure it and do it under the right headlight
