Strange Engine Rattle
Hey Guys,
After putting in my ES MMI's I've noticed this rather loud chain-like rattle noise from the right side of the engine bay when I'm in higher gears (2 and above) at lower rpms when accelerating. Could this be a loose timing chain? It sounds like its coming from that general area. Like I said, it only makes this rattle noise when I accelerate at low RPM's in higher gears.

I too have noticed have noticed a rattle while accelerating. I've taken it to the dealership to have them look for what the problem could be, but had no success. I haven't had a chance to locktite the butterfly the screws, so I am hoping that it isn't one of them that has come loose/off and rattling in the combustion chamber. Like yours, it only makes the rattling sound while accelerating, but more specifically under light acceleration. Any suggestions on what this could be would be greatly appreciated. thanks
