02-03 Conversion to 04+ MAF

Hey all, I'm trying to convert my 02-03 Spec to the 04+ since my sensor just took a crap on me.  I have a MAF from an 06 2.5 Altima, but it should be the same since they share the same motors as the Spec V's correct?  Anyways, I'm pretty certain I followed the wiring setup that was posted by Travis in the "How-to", but the car still dies @ idle.  Also, my MAF sensor only has 5 prongs, but I kept reading something about 6 wires???   Am I missing something here?  I also read that I need to bump up the idle to around 950rpms to keep the car from dieing, so i'm going to adjust the MAF voltage with my SAFC.  Any help or suggestions about the 5 prongs and 6 wires though?  thanks!

*bump*

anyone have any ideas about the 04+ MAF sensor?  how many prongs are on the sensor's connector?

The idle has to be bumped with a Consult machine, or emulator.

Re: 02-03 Conversion to 04+ MAF

You're better off getting a pigtail from an 04+ for the wiring, then you just have to match up the different wires.

Re: 02-03 Conversion to 04+ MAF

cool cool thanks....I guess my best bet for the pig tail would be to hit up my local salvage yards then.  there aren't too many wrecked spec v's out here, but one from an 04+ Altima should work too right?
