Will 255lph work with stock fpr safely?

I have read in different threads that its not a good idea to use the walbro 255 pump with the stock fpr. Anyone else heard this or has any input, because my pump is going and I have a fuel pump, but I dont want to mess anything up. (sorry for the run-on sentence you english freaks)

Re: Will 255lph work with stock fpr safely?

Been running this pump in my car for ~20K now and no ill-effects.  Stock fuel pump crapped out at 60K and have been running this since.

My only comment is that the thing is loud as hell.  Sounds like a small vacuum running in your tank.  You can hear it over the exhaust at 20', lol.

If it dies, I'll probably just use another, and look into a return setup while I'm at it.

P.S. Stock canister works, but you will need to dremel down the ridges on the white plastic cap for it to fit.  Didn't know this going into it and couldn't figure out why the canister would not close.
