cabin air filter

for those who have changed it. where is this thing? iv read other threads where some people say is behind the glove box.. but there is nothing there...

anyone know exactly??

well in the 06, remove the glove box and then another piece behind it. I couldn't tell you if the 07 is the same but i would be willing to bet that you can find it in the service manual like i did for mine.

I know in the 07+ Altima there's like a straight-up plastic wall behind the glovebox that you need to contend with in order to get to the cabin filter. As far as the B16...I once heard that it's located somewhere up near the gas pedal? Never seen one though. So if you don't find anything behind the glovebox, try there.

It is by the gas pedel, kinda.  Right in the middle of the lower section of the dash.  Hope these pic help you a bit.

yep just found out this morning..  its a PITA to get out and more to get out...


now that im looking at those pics.. i wonder if there is an easier way to get to it by removing that cover on the side you are showing..  the gas pedal gets on the way and you have to bend it to get it in and out..

Is the only place to get a replacement in-cabin air filter the dealership?

Went to AutoZone, they looked it up and said there isn't one available for my car (07 Spec V).

for some reason at kragen or autozone they dont have them...  i got it from this wholesale company that we get the parts from.. about 4 bux.. smiley-smile
