So I have read, and read, and read. I completely understand the o2 spacer thing. Just a couple ?'s I didn't see answered... Do I use both anti-foulers, or just the one I drill. On a how-to I saw, the guy used both anti-foluers, just screwed them both together, screwed in the sensor, and there it was, he was done. Do I use both? Becasue I haven't seen anybody else to say use two, or do I just use the one I drill out (to screw into the bung)? Secondly, will the SES light go off immediately, or will it take a few days. And third, the guy who installed my exhaust stripped my second sensor
Will driving a while w/o the second sensor affect anything as well?
Many thanks again, I really appreciate everything and everybody! I would'nt be able to do it all without this site!

Or better put, just one spacer or two for the sensor?

I personally have two installed for the second o2 sensor. Only one of them is drilled. Others have done it w/ only one spacer. The light may/may not magically go away. It's nothing to clear the code doing the pedal dance. Having the code isn't going to hurt performance of the vehicle. Driving around w/o the second sensor installed in the midpipe isn't going to hurt anything. Just plug the bung w/ a bolt if you're going to leave the second o2 sensor elsewhere. Just remember to secure it. You dont really want your o2 sensor flapping away in the wind underneath your car.
(o2 bung)-(non-drilled spacer)-(drilled spacer)-(2nd o2 sensor)
^^ That's how I have mine set up.
I think that answered everything

I use one ... and no it isn't hurting anything driving without your sensor. Just go clear the code after you are done otherwise it will take so many warm-up cycles before it clears.

I just had my Megan header reinstalled. And my SES light is on. I moved from Florida to North Carolina and had to take my Megan header off and put on a Nismo w/cat header. Now I switched back to my Megan. I have a spacer on the 2nd 02 sensor. The light wasn't on in Florida but its on here in North Carolina. I can't pass inspection with the light on and I've tried clearing the code but the light comes back. Can anyone help me out?

Pull the code to be 100% certain that the SES light is due to the 2nd o2 sensor.

or you could just get a spacer that is made to be used as such. They sell on ebay for around $10. Here's the one that I bought:

Then you don't have to worry about 1 vs 2 or doing any drilling or anything, it just screws right in.

unless you have a powerful drill or a drill press, just go with the spacer. drill bit kept catching on the inside of the fouler. quite a PITA

Ya I did have it scaned. The code is p0037. The spacer I'm useing I got from Mark, and there was no drilling. The one on Ebay looks longer. Maybe that will work.

I got a spacer from Mark too. I haven't installed anything yet but it does look drilled (from comparing how it looked to the pictures in the other thread).

Yeah , they must be drilled ( 1st one atleast ) to fit the o2 in it. Some add a 2nd spacer just to space it out further yet, that doesn' t need drilled since just threading it on top of drilled one

I learned even though the Altima 2.5L is a QR25DE same as SE-R/SpecV Sentra they must have two o2 spacers stacked to get by the SES light w/ Header mod , while most sentra owners just need 1 to do the trick. You might be one of the few rare cases that need another one to space it out more.

I'm using a longer spacer, the one off ebay. Driven for 40 miles and no SES light yet. Thanks for the recommendation syhnthetik . Hopefully it stays off.

edit - finally got the code to stop coming back after clearing it for the millionth time... not for any particular reason that I can tell

No prob man. I use these on both my Spec and my Altima, work like a charm.
