Hello all, well i was going to go with Treadstone turbo kit, but school takes up all my money. so i have decided to go with a No2 kit. i only want to use a 35-50 hp shot. what Nitrous kit do you all recommend. i have headers and a mid pipe on the way, i already have a cat back. what other things should i do to my 03 spec-v to make the nitro safe.

have you read some of the stickies? you say school takes up alot of your money just remember f/i or no2 induction you'll need to spend some cash to be able to reliably and safely run your spec. i dont have no2 in my spec but i run a zex system in my mustang and just some fyi, a turbo is not that far out of reach once you take in account of the the odds and ins you'll need to go along with the no2.

the turbo kit is $3000, a safe 75 shot of nitrous on a fogger setup is $450 brand new. with the odds and ends you NEED, an extra 200 to 300.
TOTAL for nitrous that is reliable, maybe $750. watch these forums classifieds you'll get everything nice and cheap.
nitrous is for the weekend warrior, turbo requires maintenance.
go nitrous man go go

oh and if you really want NX, the hitman setup is nice and cheap.
or just go with the 4cyl kit they have, its universal.

you need extra:
nitrous gauge
bottle heater
SAFC-II
Fuel Pressure safety switch
RPM Window switch (not needed but almost a must)
there is no need to get a direct port if your only going to be running a 50 shot. but FYI you can run 75 nice and safe. and again a fogger will do this just fine.

Buy a wideband for 250 and an assortment of jets for 50. Plus all that stuff^^^^

what other items do you all recommend besides the nitrous system. do i need a fuel cutoff, and a rpm window switch if i am just running a 50-75 shot.

yes you do, and in my oppinion you need a wideband as well. nitrous can be cheap and fun but if it fucks up it can get
real expensive.

Also what about Zex i have heard good and bad things, is the system reliable.

good advice everyone.......i'm thinking about spraying next summer as well. i've decided to run 50-75 shot. do i need to run a direct port setup, or can i stay wet?
noob question, also: is a wet kit the same thing as a single fogger? i assume it is.

Wet kit= fuel and nitrous both sprayed into the combustion chamber
Dry kit= just nitrous, not real safe
No you dont need direct port, it is better but you dont need it.

zex is the best... red02v hasnt ever even seen a nitrous bottle. his opinion is worthless in this thread

zex isn't bad no. but to answer all questions, NX is best.
no you do not need a direct port setup, save your money. and i alreadly posted up there what else you will need to get.
depending on how much you spray too... a clutch and flywheel combo might be a good idea.
