If you notice the comment below this is the same SS as the Axxtion, it just bolts onto the tranny. There is no actual SS for the Specs that won't brake shit. Search for B&M and read the posts.

LAWLZ it's only Viet!

Actually I'm pretty sure they do or they did. Because there was conspiracy that WRP copied them? Not sure if thats right though.

Wrong - It bolts onto your shifter cable assembly. I have had mine on the car for about 40k miles with no problems. Do some research, mr. 30 posts.

That's the one I have as well... It's one of the only SS's that doesn't break shit. Mines been on for 46,000 miles not one issue, I like it.

i also have this short shifter.. it pulls the knob back towards teh rear so the new neutral looks like the stock 4th gear position.
anyway, my cars previous owner installed it for who knows how long and i've had the car for 15k with no problems

I heard the Nismo SS is one of the bests, if not THE best, on the market.
After I get my suspension going, this and the nismo wheels will probably be the next mods.

The $12 mod is a whole lot cheaper.....

BTW be sure to keep your SS lubed with the right lube(teflon based), and lube it every few months.

This one: http://www.leeparts.com/nissan_sentra/n … ifter.html is for 2003.5-2006 trannies... the only one just says Sentra. Might be a newer redesign maybe?
Different part numbers, too.

how easy was the install? I am thinking about this setup was it worth going nismo?
Offline

Install takes like 15 mins tops... super easy. You'll spend more time getting the proper lube. I think it recommends teflon based "super lube" comes in a pen like container.

The STS referred to at the top of the thread is for the Nismo/Nissan Motorsports (they ARE both divisions of Nissan and located in TN now) is for the Gen 1. Nismo/Nissan Motorsports were the only suppliers to retailers across the country and received their last shipment on May of 2004. The Gen 1 was followed by the Gen 2 which is a totally different design. It would seem that the customer who bought the Nissan Motorsports Short Shift Kit from Lee's who left the review at the bottom of the page probably received a Gen 2, which would explain his statement about it not looking like the picture.

"Happy with part, easy install. thank you"
"I thought the nissan motorsports shifter was more like the pictured item but this works fine for me."
Shown in the pics below is stock I still have for Gen 1 Console Short Throw Shifters for both the 8mm and the 9mm Shifter Posts that have been on my shelf since '04.
