I own a 2008 Spec V and I love it, I love how it looks and how it runs, many people dont like them and preferd the 06+ Civic SI.

Intern Carlos Lago spent a few days in the SE-R and devised "a list of things you can do to make it feel like a better car."
Lago's list: "(1) Ignore the CVT transmission-its languid response kills any fun you might have while driving, and putting your foot down on the loud pedal results in an endless braaahhhhhhrakk, which becomes annoying very quickly. Instead, use manual mode. (2) Keep glances to the interior at a minimum-the plastics simply lack quality and the orange-yellowish glow from the dash is depressing. (3) Reassure yourself the car won't explode every time you turn it on-the SE-R emits a cringe-inducing grinding noise when the starter kicks over the engine. (4) Last, pretend the Honda Civic Si sedan doesn't exist."
Me saying:
Do you guys get depress of the dashboard and dont pretend that the Civic SI doesn't exist?

People generally don't like the B16 because:
a) It's looks don't appeal to everyone
b) It's gotten much heavier
c) The QR doesn't have a very good reputation for reliability among those out-of-the-know
d) It's looks don't appeal to everyone

Seen it in person. In fact I've seen dozens of B16s in person. 2.0s, SE-Rs, Spec Vs. In fact I beat the hell out of an 07 Spec for about twenty minutes. I'm not convinced. Sorry, I'd choose the Civic

What?
The B16 SE-R/Spec V has been on the market for some time now, and has sold terribly (Read). The car has a serious love or hate design, with most people being in the latter of opinion. General consumers research the engine, and see all of the problems people have with then. Don't get me started on resale of Sentra's either.
In comparison, the Civic has had very few problems, it looks pretty decent, and it's got a great resale value.

Consider me a fan of the B16. I only agree with the CVT noise, but it hardly sounds like that, it's more of a drone, but it might just me being jarred by not hearing gears. It's refreshing to me too, I'm so sick of seeing Civics everywhere in my town.
