something i'm going to start doing as requests for this stuff come in and as i figure out
this is one feature darsondriss asked for, his overrun fuel cut was not "sticking" enough, so i added hysterisis to overrun fuel cut.
you set the KPa at which overrun kicks in, and set the gap that must be covered for overrun to get turned off.
i.e. overrun kicks on at 25 kpa, the gap is set to 5 KPa, so the engine MAP can increase up to 30 before overrun correction gets turned off as opposed to getting turned off once MAP rises past the original engagement point (25)
i'll be adding more and more of these little hacks as people discover little quirks with the specvs and the weird shit drive by wire does.

you will need to reconfigure the project if you have a 4 bar map sensor, contact me for how to do this.
that's the distribution that i test all the boxes with... and it has the compiled firmware in the proper spot already, along with all the files needed for megatune to run right

Did you just hack the firmware to add a 5kpa hysteris, or did you mod the megatune source to include setting it?
confused as to if that is the dead zone listed at the bottom, and don't have my box with me. I run tunerstudio, but for an awsome feature such as this, it would be worth booting up megatune to set params.

i added the deadzone box at the bottom, and it makes changes inside the firmware, this can be used with normal HR distribution of megatune, it just won't change the deadzone.

sweet, so the firmware comes with a default and with the modded megatune you can tune it in the interface?
correct

fantastic developments! I'll see if I can make any good suggestions on improvements for our funny little engine.
When do you think you will release the binary/source?
-JNY
whenever someone wants it,
it's just a .s19 file and a new msns-extra.ini that you put in the project directory

the deadzone function is pending testing in real life to see if it makes things a bit easier

all i can say about this is FUCKING AMAZING AWESOME. everyone with ms needs to get this shit. the offset makes overrun stick good, yet the TPS makes it come out right when needed. Also idk about other people but i was having an issue where the overrun would engauge at light crusing speed becuz of the high vacuum/low throttle. This allows you to set the TPS threshold a few points lower and avoid that problem as well. Now you basically have next to no pressure on the throttle to get the overrun engauged.
