if someone wants to put this in the How To, go ahead, i figure it would be better suited here.
ive got a lot of ppl asking how i made this, im not looking to make money like everyone else, just want everyone to make their own if they want.
these are the only other pics i have of the fabric i used.
just go to walmart pick up some durable black fabric, or whatever color you want. then get some plastic fabric that is thick, and waterproof. stitch the waterproof fabric on the inside and place a line of velcro along the side of the square to make sure it stays closed.
i also made a hole at the top/bottom like sweat pants have for a string so i can tie them closed and guarantee they dont open.
works great and they never let any dirt in/water yet.
to keep the squeaks away.....
as for greasing. i just grease around the bottom of the spring, and the top of the spring where it touches the spring perches. that helps to prevent squeaking. if you can take them apart to do it, even better.
if you take proper care of your coilovers, you shouldn't have the same problems everyone else is having. they are higher maintenance and ppl think you can just slap them on and forget about them. thats why everyones is rusted to shit and half of the components dont even move.

After a long time with the cover on, they are still mint. all you can see is a bit of dust on the top of the spring

all the problems with those^ is they are very thin and rocks will chip the hell out of your springs eventually though. with this style, i used thick fabric which will prevent anything from getting damaged, and its also waterproof. 100 times more durable then a swimsuit, or any stockings. + you dont see the black anyways, id rather tell ppl i actually made a thing for my coilovers when they ask wtf it is then say 'yah i just covered them in swimsuits, and stockings!

According to Ksport thats how you adjust preload

Bottom mount is how you adjust the ride height.

more suspension misinformation!!! woooo.
dave is correct. only adjust the ride height with the lower casing. that is the reason the entire case is threaded in the first place!

wtf happened to your sleeves? they are so dirty and stained already...

yes i understand the instructions call for adjusting the lower perch. i have done that, i just prefer adjusting it from the top makes it easier adjusting height. i don't care too much about the preload, after i drop my car it they get compressed anyway
my sleeves took a beating from the rain
