Spec v'ers who are reving to or over 7k, we have a problem

Our synchros in the transmission do not like it one second
I finally got to go to local dragstrip with the 7100k rpm and missed every gear in my only run(lebanon valley is just awful with grip and how its ran)

Any of you other guys having a problem with this, i know nightrider45 said his was harder to get into 2nd, but mine is every gear

Re: Spec v'ers who are reving to or over 7k, we have a problem

I have tried 3 different  short shifters and the best on is the Nismo SS gen 1 with the linkage arm!! U have to use heavy ass shift knob and BG syncroshift !! I also had alot of shifting problems before like explained!!

Re: Spec v'ers who are reving to or over 7k, we have a problem

I started having problems with third shortly before my clutch disc broke.  I have the $12 short shifter, which engages just as good as stock, just shorter.  Spending $100 on a short shifter is just crazy, IMO.

My tranny is fine with shifting at 6800-7000 smiley-nixweiss  I have no short shifter, too, as I hate them.

Re: Spec v'ers who are reving to or over 7k, we have a problem

You can adjust the clutch pedal, so that it grabs further up.. There's a screw/set screw (nut).. Just look under the dash, where the clutch master cylinder actuator rod ties into the clutch pedal.  You'll see what I'm talking about.  Just make sure that you don't set it TOO high.. or you'll wear out your throw out bearing.

No shit I totally forgot about that man. I was just thinking how i dont feel like taking the transmission back out before winter. I never though of doing that, because it deff grabs low close to the floor, and i wasnt having this problem before. This gives me some hope
