boost is expensive and slow. n/a is expensive and slower. The choice is yours
quoted for truth. Now that I'm in over my head with this damn car. I should have bought a bike.

in all reality it depends on what your plan are and how big you want to go. Give us an idea and we can go fron there.

I would stay with the basic internals. Get the newer bearings or go aftermarket (mains and rod). Change out the pistons. The ring lands suck. You could go 07 rods.
Finally get a good headgasket.
The other option is to over build, cause trust me, you will want to turn it up.
With the amount of power you are running and 25shot will be more that sufficient to reach you goal.
You will have to take into account fuel system, mani+exhaust, + all the extras that go along with the build. Starts to get expensive.
DOOOOO ETTTTTTT.

Amen... I'm glad I bought a bike instead, there is no comparision to the that thing. It's crazy fun, fast, and I still get 50mpg

In my opinion boost on this car is a LOT of fun... Keep in mind I have been boosting 5psi for the biggest part of the year with stock exhaust. Which is around 240whp if so...
N/A will cost as much as boost if you want more than 180whp. I have about $4500 in my turbo setup.
Even at 5psi the boosted specV is a fun. It has gobs of torque down low and decent passing power due to its weight. Sure its not fast... If you want to go FAST get a bike.
In every aspect boost > N/A. If you have a good tune you can run 10psi on stock block safely, which is plenty fast IMHO.

If i were you i would build it for boost. If you dont have enough money now, just save for a kit.Quick Q though,Is there anything wrong with your current motor?cause you could just sell the motor and put that towards boosting.Just an idea.
