Riggin (engineering according to some) it.

Welp, i went ahead and ordered a knockoff header off ebay that was 4-2-1  and did so for the flanges and came with a downpipe.  I KNOW the DP wont work but i got it for the flex pipe piece.  Im taking it to an exhaust shop that gonna make a new 2.5" J (down) pipe and weld 02 bungs and ima use some spacers.  im probably gonna weld some extra's for EGT and wideband.  Wish me luck!

So what is the main issue that causes the 06 header to not be compatible with the 07?

the flange on the header primarily... the DP can always be made.  Honestly, its just in a different location, so by cutting the flange off a b15 header, extending the pipe, adding a new flange, bolting it to the stock downpipe... u got urself a header

no, we have 4 on our header and no more.  b15 has 1 header and 1 midpipe, so ud have to get some o2 bungs welded in, which is SIMPLE for any shop to do

I see, I'll look into it. No rush for me, so if megans actually comes out before I do anything, I'll probably just go with them.

Re: Riggin (engineering according to some) it.

Yeah i drive 200+ miles a day so i couldnt wait.  im actually about to buy a 2001 Chevy VENTURE for a winter beater.  gonna be badass.  megan is sayin end of november now.  plus the header i obught has a standard 2 bolt oval type flange that is used on pretty much everything so it was easier for the shop.  they have the flangesmore than readily avaialble.

Re: Riggin (engineering according to some) it.

Ok i didnt see anything in there about me rigging something cuz i cant wait 1 and a half month to buy something. Those are problems with my car. Ghetto? hmm probably not. But relax man its your car. Do what you want. Maybe a better title would get a difference response. "Engineering a header".

Would it be possible for that aebs kit that was made for the b15 to be modified to work on the b16?

every basic header pretty much fits the same, its the DP part of it u gotta worry about it.  It would proabably be EASIER to use a b15 manifold + dp such as XS Power or Dc Sports or something.  Hmm... that might be the answer to EVERYONE's problems.  just get some o2 bungs welded after u fit it and viola.  Header + DP + VRS exhaust = 200whp or so
