getting ready to tune, any advice, tips anyone?

im all set to tune my car using my safc2. although i dont have a windband, im looking into getting that AEM uego windband gauge system, the one that just mounts and shows your afr's. but is this needed at the dyno to tune the afr's? my last dyno they had the tail pipe snifter.
but also dose anyone have any tips or helpful hints to help me get the best numbers possible. any ideas or anything would be great guys. ill post up my charts and get a video of when i get it on the dyno again.

I've heard that you should unplug your battery the day before you go to the dyno to get your car tuned

yea, unplug the neg. battery terminal, doing that will reset your fuel trims...... I don't think using that diagnostic scanner will do the same thing as unpluging the battery

no your a 100% right about that. the diag. scanner wont erase the trims, someone was saying about tuning with the o2's unplugged thus making the car go into permenant open loop, although im not a 100% on what open and close loop is. is there a thread on this like an faq or something?

open loop means the car uses a predefined fuel map in order to run and doesnt take input from sensors. so your tune wont drift and if you have a consult 2 you can reset trims. but not a generic one
