Boost leak, define please (i need someone elses definition)
I was driving around last night, did some pulls (ran a ls/v hatch that i normally put 3 cars on easy but last night couldnt put 1/2 a car on) and the car felt like it ran fine but seem uber slow compared to normal. If my car gets heat soaked will that prevent the car from making peak boost that it would not heat soaked? also with the weather change/season change would that mess with anything. ive noticed with the weather changed ive had to retune the car for the cooler weather.
Boost last week friday- 8.5psi
Boost this week friday- 7.88psi
ya ya .078 isnt much but its enough for me to wonder where the fuck it went and why the car feels slow.
(setting A is set at A32 (which shoulda been 8.5psi but now is 7.88)
Tru boost guage/ boost controller
The car drives normal, gets in and outta boost just great (or so i think), no drive ability problems that ive notice.
Would having a exhaust leak by the wastegate firing ring cause boost issues.

ok are you asking someone to tell you how to do a boost leak test? if so find a coupler the fits your compressor inlet and the gate a pcv pipe and pcv pipe end that fits in the coupler. Make sure the pipe end has a valve in it, a tire valve stem will work perfect. Connect all that to the compressor inlet and pump up the pipes with either a bike pump or compressed air (low pressure) keeping an eye on either your boost gauge or an external pressure gauge. Once you have it pumped up to whatever psi you want to check it at listen for leaks and spray a soapy water solution at possible leaks to see if they are leaks.

Go back and re tighten your T bolt clamps. you need to do that after a few houndred miles anyways. not to much, but just a nice, 1/4 to half a turn.
Also, what are your air fuels looking like? have you tried to reset the ECU?

tightened my couplers, checked the vacuum lines and turn the boost controller off to see if it was working right and it is, i guess with the climate(temp, ect) change made the boost change (idk how im no genius) but i adjusted the controller and retuned the car and it runs fine and back to normal.
idk.
im sure it was just me worrying about shit again.
thank you for the help
