Of these widebands which would you get?

I have been looking around and researching lots of wideband controllers lately and will be getting one as well as a datalogger to work/play with.
The ones I have come up with thus far are the Innovate LC-1, the PLX- Devices SM-AFR DM-100, the Zeitronix ZT-2 and the FJO Wideband AFR Analysis System.

Check out the links and info on them and please help me figure out which one would be best. By best I mean ease of use as well as accuracy, functionality, modulation, and pretty factor.

Thanks for any input. Please don't flame, I am new to auto electronics and am trying my best to learn what I am doing and I know there is a lot to learn from the people on this board.

Re: Of these widebands which would you get?

it's the whole lc-1 set up.

from the site:
This kit comes complete with the patented award-winning LC-1 Wideband Controller, DB-Blue Gauge, Bosch 5-wire Wideband 02 Sensor, Bung/Plug Kit, Software CD, and quick start guide.

i'll let every one know when i get it, about a week and a half.

***EDIT***

sorry, but it's just the gauge, not the whole kit. see my post bellow.

Re: Of these widebands which would you get?

I was very weary of buying that at that price when the same vendor also has the same thing (i.e. the full DB LC-1 kit) at the full price as stated on the Innovate site. As such I emailed him and he clarified that the $99 one is just for the gauge (hence it being the same price as just the gauge on Innovate's site). The full kit is available from them as well but it is not at such a low price, it is full price.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but thought you guys should know.
Please don't hate.

Re: Of these widebands which would you get?

yea... i just found out yesterday when they sent a second invoice. first one [day i purchased] invoice said LC-1 DB kit. second invoice [two days later] said LC-1 DB kit (gauge only). sent an email, and have yet to get word back. i put in the email that if it is just the gauge, i want my money back. and i'm not gonna pay any cancellation/restocking fees, as this was false advertising. the amazon page still says full kit in the description.

so yea, i'm pretty pissed about this. but i guess if something is too good to be true.....

Product Description
Product Description
This kit comes complete with the patented award-winning LC-1 Wideband Controller, DB-Blue Gauge, Bosch 5-wire Wideband 02 Sensor, Bung/Plug Kit, Software CD, and quick start guide.

not just a guage so it looks like they owe you some other parts other than the guage

yep. sent them an email already. waiting on a response. i expect either a full refund, or the remaining parts, at the very least, with a gigantic discount, maybe at cost.

Re: Of these widebands which would you get?

turns out it was. here's the email i sent them:

On 10/11/08 I ordered a product from you through Amazon.com.

http://www.amazon.com/Innovate-DB-Wideb … mp;sr=1-29

Note what the product description says, "This kit comes complete with the patented award-winning LC-1 Wideband Controller, DB-Blue Gauge, Bosch 5-wire Wideband 02 Sensor, Bung/Plug Kit, Software CD, and quick start guide."

I received two invoices. On 10/11/08, the invoice stated that I would be receiving the full kit.

Then on 10/13/08, I received another invoice stating I would be receiving only the gauge from this kit.

Please specify what I will be receiving. I made this purchase under the impression that I was buying the whole kit, not just a gauge. If it is just the gauge, please notify me of what I need to do to receive a full refund, with out any cancelation or restocking fees.

Thank you,
Jason Jahnke

Re: Of these widebands which would you get?

Here is the response I just got back:

Jason,

I am sorry that you were confused at to what you have ordered. As you can see the “gauge only” is inside the parenthesis right after the color “blue”, this informs customers that they are purchasing the Innovate blue gauge for the DB wideband kit.

I have contacted Innovate this morning since they were closed last night, my representative has informed me that your gauge has already been shipped out. We are currently trying to redirect that package back to Innovate Tuning.

Would you like to use that credit towards the Blue gauge with the LC-1 wideband kit? I can sell it to you at a discounted price for this problem.

Thanks,
Jimmy

Depending on the discount, I may buy just the LC-1 kit from them.  Hopefully he'll respond quickly. My SAFC II should be here by the end of the week. smiley-crossf

Re: Of these widebands which would you get?

ZT2 ftw... if you have a notebook u can't beat it for datlogging - it will log rpm's out of the box.  Also the narrowband simulation is the shizzle... allows you to fool the ecu so you can force it to tune rich/lean from the ecu.  I have my primary 02 ziptied up, and am running with no CEL's... can't beat that.

PS - how the hell did you fit those rims over your brembo's !!!  Did u use a spacer?  Could you put up some more wheel pix somewhere - preferably one from the edge so I can see clearances?  I had to switch my brembo's for wilwoods to clear.

Are you asking me? I presume you are. Well, to answer your question yes I am running spacers on them, I am actually upgrading this week to H&R Trak+ hubcentric spacers. 10mm in the front and 5mm in the rear. The clearance in the front right now (at 8mm) is quite small but should be ample once I get the new spacers in. I'll get pics of them for you if you'd like. In the meantime here is the best pic I have atm of my current setup.

well here is what they offered me... smiley-crazy

Hi Jason,

It looks like my manager has actually canceled and refunded the amount that you paid with Amazon for the gauge today. If you are still interested in the LC1 kit, I can give you a $15.00 discount on it which will bring the total of the part to $184.99.

Thanks,

Jimmy
