SAFC II and ______ wideband

Well I will be receiving a SAFC II soon. Now I need to decide what wideband to get. Right now, I just want one to work with the SAFC,and that isn't so expensive. I can get a better set up with a guage and datalogging later on. Can I just get a bosch sensor and hook it up to the SAFC? That would save me a lot of money right now. And yes, I am completely new to tuning.

so, which one? and why?

bosch wideband
zeitronix zt-2
innovate lc-1
aem uego
14point7.com JAW assembled

Thanks for your help

They are 2 separate things.  The wideband needs to output to a gauge or a datalogger to work.  I suggest the Zeitronix ZT-2

Re: SAFC II and ______ wideband

dont go lc-1 i hated it! and i am not the only one! sucks bc u have to recalibrate the sensor often and no gauge.. be smart and get the AEM UEGO you will not regret it i just got rid of the lc1 and aem is stupid easy to install over the lc1 too.. if your still stuck on lc1 i have auction on ebay that gets over in 2 days for my old lc1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI … 2&rd=1 but i would strongly suggest the aem.. no shit only wires u hood up are a ground and switched 12Volt.. and done. just trying to give you a heads up.

Re: SAFC II and ______ wideband

so yea. turns out that it was, in fact, too good to be true. it was really just the afr gauge, at the same price innovate sells. the guy i've been in contact with is looking into getting a zt2 for me. they are gonna give me a little bit of a discount. not much, but something is better than nothing.

so now my SAFC II is sitting in my room waiting on a wideband... oh well...

Re: SAFC II and ______ wideband

i think your stil confused as to what a safc-II does.
the safc-II is independet of the wideband. hooking it up does nto require a wideband. You cannot hook the safc-II to a wideband. but they are rather used in conjunction. but you can use each one seperately.
ITs only when your tunning that you need a wideband.
So you can still install the safc-II at the momment an dleave it at 0 corrections

Re: SAFC II and ______ wideband

no i'm not. i understand that i don't wire up the wideband to the afc. that was finally made all too clear to me the other night...

but the zt2 is what i want eventually, and if i can get a hold of this one, awsome... if not, i may just settle for a plain sensor and gauge for now...

i posted this to get feedback on the item, if it looks fishy, etc... not if i can hook it up to a afc...
