its fine. get a map sensor attach the output to the throttle input on the safc-II get ir tuned and your done. Better tune then what you get from what your pedal is doing.

you think its worth buying a map sensor and housing? i know they're supposed to be better than MAFs, but i've never had any first hand feedback about it. whatd you think about you're map upgrade?

pimpsmurf he is n/a and to run the car of the map sensor alone woudl require a standalone.
you just need the little black box and then you need to hook it up to the vac line.
Pimpsmurf don't make this so complicated

you can indeed convert from MAF To MAP by getting a 1 bar MAP
MAP doesn't need a housing, it's just a pressure sensor.
You can use MAP input instead of throttle if you want to more accurately tune only closed loop. get a wideband if you don't have one already, JAW is decent, but not great. It does however work with any wideband gauge.

1 bar map is like what, 14 lbs? thatd be more than enough for NA.... from where, do you recommend? a nissan from a similar year?

Any GM 1 bar map sensor.

like kurt said gm 1 bar it reads vac and absolute pressure. 5v would be atmospheric condiotns so that is exaclty what you need as you are not applying any pressure.
No nissan has it.

For the SAFC-2 right? anyone done the switch without piggybacking?

I am NA and I did the boost SAFC mod when I installed my ZT2 which I ordered with the 3.5 bar sensor. Car runs top notch. Never had any problems.

you can't convert the car to just run te map sensor with the piggyback. the map sensor will be an aditional sensor in the car.
