i drove around last winter with my cai still in, and i didnt have any problems. but, i think this year im going to switch to short ram just for the hell of it. i used to do that with my old car....switch from cai to short ram in the winter time, also with a crappier auto-zone filter so i didnt mess up my nice k&n during the winter with all the salt and crap. you should be ok, but it only takes like 10 minuetes for a bit of piece of mind.
