Anyone interested in a grounding kit?

I recently talked to someone on b15sentra who owns a g20 and makes his own grounding kits. he's looking at a group buy if anyone is interested in grounding kits, please post here and let me know. I'll let him know if its popular enough and set up a group buy. his price is $25 a kit, they come in black, blue or red. thanks.

Re: Anyone interested in a grounding kit?

thats a decent price considering I made my own for around 20 bucks. 4 gauge wire with gold plated connectors.

Nothing cleaning your existing electrical contacts don't do. In other words next to nothing except some people like the looks. It's just extra weight unless you really have some seriously corroded contacts but then you are better off replacing the contacts.

People will tell you they use high quality thick wires so with the kit you get better ground but here's the thing a AWG 18 size wire which is like 1 mm in diameter has 0.006 ohm per feet of resistance. So seriously how bad can your OEM ground situation be if 1 foot of a very thin wire isn't 1 percent of 1 ohm in resistance?

From a more technical stand point there are many reasons why even if you do improve your ground it wouldn't give the most sort after thing: gains in power. A lot of people will say that the grounding kits helps improve the signals from various engine related sensor or improve the power to the engine computer so you get better power, better throttle response or faster automatic shifts. That's just a pile of BS. If a sensor signal needs to be clean we don't rely on ground and a signal Rather we use what's call a differential signal where the sensor give it's output back  as a difference between the voltage on two wires. If it's very noise critical we do the same thing but instead of voltage we measure current on two wires. Further more digital systems are much much more resistance to any sort of noise people claims to exist because of bad grounding. And it's local ground at the circuit board level that's important as everything when it comes to electricity is based on relative differences. You circuit board A can have a measurable difference in ground voltage vs board B but as long as they are designed properly they can communicate etc etc without any issues.
