7j rims and 38mm offset need helllp!

i wanna get 17in rims and keep my stock tires. the offset of the rims is 38mm. when stock is 50. the rim is 7j wide dunno what that means but will it be ok

the tires will fit on the rims fine, idk about them rubbin under the car with such a low offset on our cars

well alot of people are running 40mm with 18 inch rims fine would 38 be taht mcuh of a differece?

I have 17x7 with 42mm offset and no issues.


6000k HID headlights, 2500k fogs, Eibach Pro-Kit Springs, Kyowa Racing KR228 17x7 +42mm in hyper black, 225/45/17 General Exclaim UHP's.

hey wanna thank all you guys for the help. i had the rims put on and the 38 offset is perfect. i kept my stock tires because there fine right now and winter is coming. but will def be getting better ones cause ours suck. i will post pics soon. and 7j just means 7 inches. and its not a misprint its on the rims box. i picked up my rims directly from a konig warehouse all for 290! ill def do business with these guys again
