product details:
Whenever you apply pressure to the brake pedal to slow your car, some of the hydraulic energy is wasted expanding the stock rubber brake lines. This in turn reduces the effectiveness of your braking system. The expansion of the stock
rubber line also causes the soft feel some cars exhibit at the brake pedal. As the stock lines age, the softness increases. This "line swelling" effect is virtually eliminated using the Techna-Fit stainless steel braided brake lines.
All of Techna-Fit's brake line and clutch line assemblies are assembled in-house, to stock or custom specifications, meeting D.O.T. MVSS-1006 Certification. Techna-Fit offers a large selection of brake line and clutch line kits complete with all of the fittings and bolts for easy assembly. Techna-Fit is the OEM supplier to many of the aftermarket "Big Brake" manufacturers.
Key Features:
Kit comes complete with all necessary fittings and bolts
Female swivel-end for ease of installation
Extruded teflon inner lining
Braided stainless steel outer jacket
Plastic boot covering the outer jacket and hose-end to keep out dirt and debris.
Protective blue plastic outer cover.

To my undertstanding, all Specs would have the same lines regardless of Brembo or not. So long as it's all disc brakes, which all Specs have anyhow. Is this correct? Or am I missing something?

Offline

Daniel

yeah they should all be the same but it hadnt been confirmed with technafit so we are asking for all the info just to be safe and to make sure everyone gets the correct part.

When will this GB end, how long after before shipped ?
Offline

Michael

Currently i have no ide when this GB will end. I am waiting until the clutch line GB is through before i start accepting payments. As for how long after these will ship is still to be seen. Techna fit said 1 - 2 proccessing on their end and then they will be shipped, but we shall see in a few days.

Are these as good as the braided steel covered cables?

im interested, but depending on when the gb ends, i may or may not have the money for it.. the later the better for me. what is the target amount of buyers for this gb to end?

70 bucks is a STEAL for ss brake lines.
btw, obviously, this is the best time to flush your brake fluid.
I highly recommend Valvoline Super Syn. It's synthetic and not expensive. 5-6 dollars for a big bottle.
And, if I were buying the SS brake line, I would also get Speed Bleeders so you can bleed your brakes in about 10 minutes by yourself.
http://www.speedbleeder.com/
I ran this setup along with hawk pads and powerslot rotors on the track several times for 30-50 minute sessions and never overcooked the brakes.

you should have a good amount of time before this ends. Ill check how long it took my clutch line GB and id guess itd take around the same amount of time.

theres just two things stopping me from buying this.
1: Whats the install like, is there a guide somewhere? i've never done any work on brakes before.
2:How are these going to help me? will i see a difference in brakeing?

Offline

Michael

1. install should be pretty simple. If there isnt a guide on here it shold be about the same on any car just find any one. Take the wheel off and replace the line and bleed the brakes.
2. This will do basically the same thing that the clutch line will except for brake lines instead. To tell ya the truth i have never experienced my brakes getting soft or anything so idk, PM sirl he will probably know he seems to race alot.
and they look sexy
