okay say you could right.  Why not build what you have in there. for 5k at most you could have a car that cold make scottyboi's car look like a little bitch

the vg30dett is the Z32 300zx's twin turbo enginefrom 91-95 in america and 91-96 in japan

VG30/VE30's came in the 93ish maximas, VQ30DE/VQ30DE-K came out in 95-01, VQ35DE 02+ and so on and so on....

Moral of story no you cannot put a VG30DETT (Which is RWD) into a Nissan sentra unless you're god

Yours isn't a fully built V6? How much power are you making?

Yes it is fully built, but I believe he was having some issues with a fuel pump or two. The engine is physically capable of A LOT more than what he's running currently (or so I read...).

Not that more power helps any . A fully tuned suspension and slicks would do more for the cause then bumping up the power.

We put VQ30DET internals into his engine.. 9:1 C/R, and slightly beefier.. The  VQ30DET was only sold in Japan, but, parts are available.

Looking back, I would have done a VQ35, simply due to the much better head flow, and bigger displacement.  I went with the VQ30 because it's a little more robust than the VQ35, but, once built, the VQ35 will make a lot more power, at a lot less boost.  I'm trying to get Scotty's car back so we can do that.

The VG30E can be made to work with the RWD VG30DE or VG30DETT heads, making it a DOHC, FWD VG engine.. But, there is absolutely NO reason to use that hunk of turd in ANY FWD car.. It is a outdated, very heavy, and inefficient engine, compared to the VQ series.

very true.. i believe the VG30E only made like 160 hp with considerably more torque.  But like you said, they're heavy.  I guess an al./iron block will do that.  The VG30DE was tuned specifically for RWD, and puts out considerably more power.

i'd like to swap the QR with a VQ30DE-K as well.  Our '97 Maxima SE is a few "k" away from hitting the 100,000 mile mark and absolutely no engine problems at all.  Parents bought it brand new, and 11 and a half years later, we've replaced the starter, alternator, and an O2 sensor.  I guess it's made Wards 10 Best Engines every year since 1995 for a reason.

Random: I wonder how a kouki 240SX would do with a QR!  or if it's even compatible due to RWD
