problem with wheels

The issue has happened twice since I have gotten my rims. When I do daily driving, everything appears fine, and have no issues. The first time, I went to the mountains out here, did a couple runs, and then went home. I started feeling this thudding, and thought my brakes were done. I checked the car when I get home, and the lugs nuts are loose. I tighten them, and there is no issues. 3 months goes by, no issues. Last night I go to the mountains, do a couple runs, and one my way home, it starts thudding REAL bad. I think its the brakes again, i get home, the lugs are loose and the tire is not flush with the rotor. I don't know why the lugs are coming loose when I push the car. I know the manual says to tighten the lug nuts to 83 ft/lbs of torque. Could this number have changed after i switched rims. I somehow doubt that the actual tightening is the issue, because the wheels are tight and flush to the rotor before I started doing the runs.

Re: problem with wheels

you might need hubcentric rings, cause the reason that the lugnuts could be coming loose is because its sittling on the stud and loosening them.

Re: problem with wheels

I have them, and have had them since the rims were installed.
