What do you mean by that, can you be more specific?
The FI/C controls Fuel by intercepting the injector signal from ECU... Unlike SAFC-II which "lies" to the ECU in order to make the ECU do adjustments to the desired AFR's.
The FI/C can;
- modify injectors signal
- retard ignition timing - nobody has tried that on a specV, I have no $ to buy a timing light and try it.
- clamp MAF - again I haven't tried this yet, nor will I be able to in near future, my stock catback limits me to 9psi, which is way below the stock MAF limit
- modify o2 sensor signal - in theory this could get rid of the P0420 code if you have no cats, again I haven't tried it, my o2 sensors aren't even hooked up to the FI/C since I have no need to modify the o2 sensor signal
- can datalog with any wideband sensor which has 0-5v output, that means UEGO, ZT2, etc...
- displays throttle position, MAF IN and OUT voltage
- can datalog, either internally or on a computer - viewing datalogs with AEMlog viewer makes tuning a pretty easy job
The FI/C cannot;
- raise your redline
- control boost
If you have any other SPECIFIC questions, feel free to pm me.

I have made a lengthy HOW-TO thread with plenty of pictures, pin-out, a lot of links to FI/C manual, tuning tips and youtube videos which explain how the FI/C software works. LINK --> http://myspecv.com/f/t166999-how-to-ins … -se-r.html
I don't have the time nor resources nor money to test every function of the FI/C, it might come with time who knows...

that was more of an install guide per the specifics of the spec v. The other pages on tuning tips and explaination videos i assume arent spec v specific. I wasnt saying that you are obligated to test any though. i was stating that there isnt alot of specifics about its actual operation on the spec v.

I must have misunderstood a little bit... English is my 2nd language...go figure.
Of course there is not much SpecV specific info on the FI/C, hell I'm the only one on this forum running the FI/C, plus as I said before until very recently my car has been down with major oil leak so I haven't had a chance to test it much. I just got my car back up and running few days ago.

In theory yes...
However NOBODY on this forum has tried it on N/A spec.

It does control the timing on the Spec v but I do not have the diagram of the way our guy at the shop installed it on the Spec that we built here. But I do know that it works.

Well good luck getting it tuned... I failed miserably at tuning my car with the FI/C...
