Dealership screwed up

I went to Discount Tire to get brand new tires put on my stock wheels last thursday. Due to the dealership not putting my wheel lock key back in my car after they did brake work the week before, Discount Tire couldn't take my wheels off so I had to go to the dealership to get the tires installed. (at a discount since they screwed up)
So I get to the dealership thursday at 4pm which I had an appointment for. was told it would take about 45 mins. 5:30 rolls around and my car finally comes out of the service department. I take a quick look at it and notice my front tires look low on pressure so I get in the car to get my tire pressure gauge. Turns out the rears are at 36 psi, the fronts were barely reading 20 psi. Made them take it back and check the seals and they had to reseal both front tires. So I finally leave at 6:50, after being there for nearly 3 hours. Get back to my house to recheck the tire pressure and noticed that my wheel is scratched up. Look at the other ones and there is damage done to each of my stock wheels. So, I immediately call the service department and tell them what happened. I am told their director will get in touch with me soon to work something out

Finally, this thursday I get a hold of the service director and he asks to see the car. So I brought it in and showed him what they screwed up and he told me he'd have to keep my car for 5 days while they pulled the wheels off and sent them out to be repaired. I said that's ridiculous and told him I bet I could get a full set of aftermarket wheels for what it would cost him to have the stockers fixed, and he said if I could find some wheels for around $500 he'd gladly order those and install them instead.

So out of the frustration, I get some free wheels! unfortunately they are 17's, but you can't beat the price. Here is what I am getting for my Spec:

They are 17x7, 42 mm offset so they'll stick out another 8mm over the stock wheels, and they weigh ~16 lbs each.
Kyowa Racing KR228

I thought about getting this color instead, which would you prefer for a Magnetic Gray car? It's "hyper black" with a polished lip

Re: Dealership screwed up

That is really fucked up. At least they didn't do what the wheel shop did to my wheels when they installed them. I'm surprised I'm still alive. The place didn't tighten the lug nuts down after putting on the wheels. I'm driving 70mph on the freeway, and i think my brakes are all fucked up cuz im hearing and feeling this thudding coming from the wheels. I get home, and go to take off the wheels to find that I can actually unscrew the lug nuts with my fingers. I was pissed as fuck. I called the wheel shop, and they took 50% of the install price. I'm like, 50%? I could've been killed if the wheel came off at that speed. Oh well, I guess all we can do is take whats offered.

But yeah, it sucks that you had to wait for such a long time, just for them to scratch and damage your wheels. At least you are getting some free ones. Good luck with everything.

Re: Dealership screwed up

think I may stick with the silver since it seems not many people have plain silver wheels anymore, and I'm a bit old-school

Also, forgot to mention, my pro-kit springs should be on tomorrow. Will post before and after pics when I get a chance.
