We just installed my used SAFC II an when i turn the car to on the green light comes on but nothing on the screen. we rechecked and resoldered the power and ground, but still no screen. also i went for a very short drive to see if the car runs ok with the 400cc injectors in and i found out im in limp mode. maybe because of too much fuel? (putting the rest of the turbo stuff in this week) please help if you can.

there are 2 different power wires for the green knob and the screen. you soldered both? if so, then it is an issue with the SAFC II. my buddy(don24) and I got his hooked up, but never go the tac signal to work

There is only one power wire. we soldered it into pin 119 or 120 cant remember witch one. one has the wideband an the other the SAFC II.

Could be an issue with grounds maybe? I know the brown ground wire needs to be soldered closer to the ECU than the black ground wire...

pretty sure we did, ill recheck. i know we have the two grounds separate from each other.

mine would power on but the screen went blank...it ended up being one of my grounds came loose...i would check your wires.... prolly a loose ground

would too much solder cause a problem, because some of the wires i may have put a little much on there.

ok so i checked it. and the brown ground wasn't on the ecu side. so i switched it and still no screen. im starting to lean towards a bad SAFC II since i bought it used.

bah, thaqt sucks man. Sounds busted. and your in limp mode cause the safc is in between the maf wire and since the safc is messed, well LImP mode....

I meant to say that there are 2 grounds. .... my bad
also, brown ground and black ground. we wired then together and had no issues(grounded them to the chasis). they have nothing to do with AFR's. make sure you are looking at the diagram correctly too. don24 and I were looking at it backwards. it will definatly not work right. ground those wires to the chasis first before you label it bad. that will give you a definate answer.
