SparkyII / 2006 Spec-V / Nashville, TN

Gotta love the black cars!!!  So easy to get dirty, but stunning when clean.  I love it.

Did some detailing this weekend and took some pictures before the sun went down today:

http://people.vanderbilt.edu/~alicia.n.aarnio/100_0732%20(Small).jpg
Love the way the sun is making the wheels a nice gold glow.

http://people.vanderbilt.edu/~alicia.n.aarnio/100_0733%20(Small).jpg
The wheels look a slightly lighter shade than the brembos.

http://people.vanderbilt.edu/~alicia.n.aarnio/100_0734%20(Small).jpg
I like the reflection of the trees in the fender behind the light.  The specks on the bumper above the foglight are the first highway rock wounds I've found smiley-sad  Argument for getting a bra for the car, I think.

http://people.vanderbilt.edu/~alicia.n.aarnio/100_0735%20(Small).jpg
Little bit 'o tire foam does wonders.. <3 the wet shine.  Ron was standing in the light, so he gets a cameo in the fender.

http://people.vanderbilt.edu/~alicia.n.aarnio/100_0736%20(Small).jpg
Representing the undergrad institution there, Smith College (on the rear window- check out the clouds reflected in the glass! so neat).  I want to take the Sentra letters off, but don't want to unbalance the trunk lock and SE-R on the right... it's such a bitch to wax around smiley-unsure  Need to get it off before the paint fades enough that the shade difference would be noticeable when I took them off.

I love this shot, the paint is so fantastic, I waxed the hood and the reflections of the clouds look so cool.

And then we rode off into the sunset...

...more to come!

Looks nice! Don't you hate the date on the pictures?

Thanks!  Still have to vacuum the interior and polish the wheels, but all the washing/waxing got done.
The date thing.. sometimes.  I can change it, I just forgot.  I had to turn it on to take pictures for the insurance company after my apartment building half burned down and just never remembered to turn it off.  That was in March, too.. man, I suck! smiley-smile

Thanks!  I'll probably put in a short throw shifter first, the 1-2 has been bothering me the most about the car.  then i'll put in a cai, since the turbo is a long ways off.. maybe do a header at the same time.  eventually, i want to put a turbo in.  I've been eyeing metallic/metal flake looking black wheels, see if i can't bump it up to 17"x8".

Other than those, I don't have any huge mods planned yet... some cosmetic things, debadge here and there and replace the grille.  It didn't bother me until today that the stock grille is plastic-y looking.  augh.  I'm going to try to get a graphic kit for the side of the car that is similar in pattern to the nismo side stripe, but only in metallic silver and red or something.

Re: SparkyII / 2006 Spec-V / Nashville, TN

If you're for sure going turbo later I suggest you do what I did and get a cheap header for now. Same effects 1/5 of the price smiley-smile
