thoughts after removing qr pro for safc

ok so i just two days ago i removed my stillen qr pro to go afc route.  the only thing i can say is damn... the qr pro made a huge difference in the upper rpms, especially after 4500. i didnt realize how much it actually helped until i took it off. granted i have not tuned my car yet, so i will have to wait and see what difference that makes, but over stock it is a noticeable gain

No one has ever tested it, it's a completely unproven part.  No one knows what it even does exactly.

Re: thoughts after removing qr pro for safc

im not sure about the gas mileage, its only been two days. and you say butt dynos are innacurate......yes and no. couldt you feel a difference when you installed a header?  and how bout this.....my friend has an rsx type s, i/h/e.   we raced with qr pro and i pull around two cars from 40 to 100 everytime.  between last night and today without the qr pro it is very close, i still edge ahead, but not by much.  so that means something

Re: thoughts after removing qr pro for safc

well teh qrpro adjusts some sort of tune to the ecu. you have the safc installed that is untuned. so yea, maybe the qrpro is better than stock, but it remains to be seen if it can actually be better than a tuned safc.

on a side note, many people felt gains from the wrp ims but actual dyno proved otherwise.

Re: thoughts after removing qr pro for safc

I agree, it works according to the butt dyno. I had one for a while before switching to the SAFC once I decided to keep the car and boost it.

It doesn't mean much actually.....there's WAY too many variables.  Take it to a dyno and PROVE what your butt tells you.  I thought the 2 intake cams on my car made quite a bit of power, in reality the dyno told otherwise.  I lost 14 lb-ft of tq on the low end, and only made gains after 5400 rpms.  But, the car FELT faster than before.  I told everyone in my thread this exact same thing --  Butt dyno FTMFL.  You cannot go by feel when installing parts onto a car, there's way too many variables to consider.
