I have used mine for what, 4 years now?  Awesome mod if you combine this with a weighted shift knob.  Mine weights ~2lbs and definitely gave the setup a more solid feel.  My first thought was, "why didn't this come from the factory like that?"

oh, it was a hand-me-down from a buddies totaled '03.  He replaced the securing clip with a small hose clamp.  Crappy cell phone pic below for reference:

Royal purple 75-90 is the best I have used and I went through new stock fluid and then I used redline MT90. Royal puple 75-90 hands down. No more grinding in 2nd and 3rd gear.

You must be kidding......Royal Purple is the worst possible fluid you can use.  It's fucked up more than a few people's trannies.

I have been running it for about 12K (since I went turbo) Maybe they were using the syncro mix and not the 75-90. I have nothing but great results. I use to grind in 2nd and 3rd all the time with redline MT90 and a 75-90 mix and so I put in some stock OEM nissan crap from the dealership and if anything it got worse. I switch to royal purple 75-90 and I could instantly feel a differance. It still grinded in 3rd everyone in a while for about 2 days but after those 2 days my tranny feels like butter. And trust me I beat the living hell out of my tranny.

Take a Pic of it... If you have one of the first gen ones then that is why it is rubbing...
Is it shaped like a J like in the pics on the web for TWM or is it a little different looking... The first gen ones only fit like early 04 down...
Sorry to OP for OT ...

Re: TWM adapter

I installed a Gen1 on my 02 in the summer and I just love it and wished I had got it years sooner. It doesn't rub and I have no probs with it. It should have been like this from the factory.

I installed a Gen1 on my 02 in the summer and I just love it and wished I had got it years sooner. It doesn't rub and I have no probs with it. [h]It should have been like this from the factory.

Re: TWM adapter

OK, so which one is the gen 1 and which one is gen 2? The blue one or the black one that looks like a J? Which one is better?

Re: TWM adapter

I have the first gen, I pretty sure the only difference is that the first gen only fit the 02-03's and the second gen fits both. This is due to the different shifter stock that the cotter pin slides into on the tranny side. Of course this is merely speculation and I'm totally wrong.
