confused

ok so in the steering column i need the 12v (+) ignition switch wire. keep in mind this is a 03 sentra. i see 2 wires bound together going from the ignition column, they are R/B in color both are.  does that mean they are the same thing?
im hooking up a shift light and tach combo shift glow they have a simple diagram that comes with it says to look for a "red" ignition switch wire but in the manual it says its suppost to be "Green" but the only thing wired into the ignition right below where u put the key in going to the ignition column is the R/B wires sleeved together and going into a lil terminal plug thats brown.  the other 2 wires that need to be hooked up go through the fire wall one to the tach terminal or somthing the other to an active ground. but ill get there when i get step one done LOL any ideas? do i just splice into either of those R/B wires?
