Just some basic info. with a cut out when it is closed you will always have a slight exhaust leak. Next if you are boosted when i ran 10 psi with the cut out open my maf would max out. i know have a maf clamp. so be ware the power gains are great but you may max your maf out.. just for some basic info...

it maxes out from airflow so if this cutout is open then there is like no back pressure and the airflow increases.

Cutouts are gay just run open downpipe all the time and you are set lol and also you save some weight by no having an exhaust

for those that max out, z1auto.com has the 3" 350Z maf housing for $110 shipped. You need to have an 04+ MAF as the 02-03 plug is different.

does not matter It wont really fit anywhere else. the loss of power from having it a few feet back wouldnt even be noticeable. I am going to be doing 3" from the turbo to the cut out and then leave my greddy stock.

i have a v-band on the turbo... i wonder how open turbo outlet would sound...

downside to that is all the exhaust gases are dump into your engine bay along with all the heat. not to metion it would be a direct flow of 1300 degree gases right into your altenator

You don't want to do that...It would be EXTREMELY loud, and like previously mentioned you would be dumping some HOT exhaust gas right in your engine bay. A fire waiting to happen I'm sure...
